Please click on diagram and table for full view in PDF TIMTU The Timtu prospect is situated approximately 10 km east-northeast of the Sylvie and Getty deposits. Disseminated sulphide was discovered in sub-crop at the Timtu zone and 4 diamond drillholes were completed in 2005 (BEL05-003, 004, 011, and 012). Diamond drillhole BEL05-003 intersected 1.01% Ni, 0.63% Cu, 1.81g/t Pd, and 0.57g/t Pt over a core length of 8.65 m. BEL05-004 did not intersect the target mafic/ultramafic host rock but did intersect anomalous chalcopyrite mineralization in siltstone and mudstone. Both of holes BEL05-011 and 012 contained relatively long intersections (48.35 m in BEL05-011 and 59.00 m in BEL05-012) of consistently disseminated sulphide. BEL05-012 contained also a relatively narrow intersection of massive sulphide (see news release November 23, 2005).
Core technicians at work outside the core shack at the Belanger base camp The 2007 Timtu drill program intended to test an airborne electromagnetic anomaly down dip and intersected disseminated, semi-massive and breccia-fill sulphides. Significant results include 17.6 m grading 0.70% Ni, 1.00% Cu, and 3.120g/t PGE+Au in TIM07-007, and 8.3 m grading 0.83% Ni, 0.50% Cu, and 1.699g/t PGE+Au in TIM07-005 (Table 1). Fourteen (14) drillholes have been completed on the Timtu prospect for a total of 1640 m. The 2007 drill results for Timtu together with the results of previous exploration programs have intersected Ni-Cu-PGE mineralization for 75 m along strike and to depths of 106 m down dip from the surface showing. Higher grade zones appear to be enclosed within larger lower grade halos, as at the more advanced Getty and Sylvie zones 10 km to the west-southwest. The Timtu prospect is shallow and remains open in all directions. Plans to further drill test its lateral and vertical extents will be discussed as part of project planning for the 2009 drill program.
